The PupFitters Dog Leash Flashlight allows you and your dog to see and be seen. The unit is built to withstand extreme weather and hostile operating environments. The light features single-button operation with fully adjustable light intensity. The light also has 3 different strobe modes for use as a safety beacon.

Note that the Dog Leash Flashlight can be used in a variety of applications. In the “steady on” mode the unit is a very good short-range flashlight for illuminating pathways, etc. In beacon or “flash” modes the light can easily be seen at medium to long distances. The preferred method for dog walking is to install the Dog Leash Flashlight onto any PupFitters leash using the built in “D” ring near the leash handle. The light can also be attached to the dog’s collar or harness as a safety beacon. Note that objects attached to a collar or harness may pose a catch/snag hazard for the dog.

Please note that we have intentionally omitted all of the light output specifications from the manufacturer. We did this because our experience shows that these numbers are virtually meaningless to anyone without advanced training or background in lighting/ optics. In addition, output specifications are a poor indicator of lighting quality. Instead of using output specs, we represent performance based on actual field tests. The visibility performance numbers shown above indicate the minimum demonstrated distances for safe and adequate lighting. Actual performance numbers will likely exceed the above minimums depending on weather conditions.

PUPFITTERS MINI UTILITY LIGHT BATTERY REPLACEMENT

Required Tools & Materials

- A somewhat sharp instrument (ie. ball point pen, mini flathead screwdriver, etc.);

- 2 model # CR-2016 lithium watch batteries

Battery Removal

- Place the light on a hard, flat surface with the case marking “Photon Freedom Micro” (the side opposite the control button) face up;

- Locate the battery cover removal tab. The tab is adjacent to the eyelet (between the letters “O” and “T” in the word “PHOTON”;

- Position your instrument underneath the battery cover removal tab. Insert the instrument from the bottom of the eyelet with the tip of the instrument pointing towards the LED bulb;

- Gently pry the battery cover open by the removal tab. Note the gold retainer clip inside the case;

- Place your instrument under the top battery opposite to the location of the gold retainer clip. Gently pry the top battery up and slide the top battery out from underneath the retainer clip. Note that the light may activate during this process;

- Turn the light over and the bottom battery will easily slide out of the case.

Battery Installation

- Place the light on a hard, flat surface with the empty case face up;

- Slide one battery under the retainer clip positive side (+) facing up;

- Slide the second battery under the retainer clip positive side (+) facing up. Note that the light may activate during this process;

- Place the battery cover on the case with the marking “Photon Freedom Micro” face up and re-align the removal tab with the notch cut into the case near the eyelet;

- Using your thumbs snap the cover plate back onto the case;

- Check that the cover plate is properly seated into the battery case and verify that the light is functioning.
