What Is It?
The PupFitters Double Dog Leash is a premium quality leash for two. The leash allows two dogs of similar size and weight to walk comfortably on a single leash without getting tangled. Design Background & Philosophy
Like many of you we have a multiple dog household. Sometimes we take the dogs with us into crowded places like New York City. When foot (and paw) traffic gets congested keeping everybody close and moving in the same direction is critical. Having four dogs on individual leashes makes you wish you had an extra set of hands. Using tandem or multiple lead leashes can certainly help. Over the years I purchased or was given numerous tandems. Quite frankly they were all worthless. Some were made of such inferior materials they were unsafe; other tandem designs allowed the dogs to get tangled up in each other’s lead. So as soon as we finished engineering our standard utility leashes we set about building a better Double Dog Leash.
Product Description
The Double Dog Leash design is based on the PupFitters Utility Leash. The Double Dog Leash has the same superior grade materials used in the utility leash design. Individual leads attach to each dog’s harness or collar using a solid brass snap hook. The key to preventing entanglement is flexible couplings. The leash handle is attached to the two dog leads using a double swivel. In addition each dog’s snap hook is swivel mounted to the lead. The flexibility in each part of the leash allows the dogs to move freely without getting twisted in the rope and hardware. Like every PupFitters snap leash the Double Dog Leash comes standard with a solid brass utility “D” ring and all three lead lines come “up armored” with the removable 1000 Denier Cordura nylon lead wrap.
